With the hiatus of NEXT at the brewery, we’ve been doing mostly private DJ parties. So we haven’t been posting as we should be. For that we apologize. We’re now heading towards the end of a fantastic year. In the process we’ve been doing quite a bit with holiday parties.
During the quiet time, the webpage was updated. Hope you like it. There are a couple more changes coming to the page soon.
It was a great year overall. Soon we will take a look at all of the great moments of last year as we get into the new year. Meanwhile, please use the contact form on our website to inquire about a show, or event you might need sound, lighting, or MC/DJ production for.
Very recently, a very dear friend has passed away. Caroline Corley was the morning DJ at 107.1 The Peak in the White Plains, NY area. We’ve only known Caroline for a few years ourselves but felt a sense of shock and loss at the news of her passing. She was an amazing and humorous soul with a somewhat faulty word filter. She always stopped by the sound booth whenever she was at a show to chat and always had some good words for us. We will miss her.
The Matt O’Ree Band performed and recorded an awesome show at the NEXT Charity Concert Series this past August. As a gift to their fans they have offered one of the songs as a free download:

Two weeks ago, at Captain Lawrence Brewery a most stunning moment took place. Well, maybe mesmerizing is a better word to describe what we watched. Or maybe it would be… If you were at this show, you know what we’re trying to say here. If you weren’t, what a shame for you!
The Matt O’Ree Band came back to the Tri-State Area and they destroyed Westchester County! Almost 2 straight hours of pure rock and roll bliss for the NEXT Music Charity Concert Series! We bring these guys up all the time and we just never get tired of how they can mesmerize a crowd. From the perspective behind the sound board, it’s amazing to watch people, meditating on sound, moving in odd motions as their body just takes off to the music. These guys are the best pure Rock and Roll touring band going on right now. If you haven’t seen them, you really need to. Especially those of you who call yourselves music fans. They count people like BB King as a fan! Since the days at the Rack N Roll Cafe, to the outdoor shows at JB’s Of Wilton, and then last year opening for Foreigner at Stamford Downtown’s Alive at Five, we have been watching these guys hypnotize crowds.
NEXT is all about great new music. If you haven’t heard the podcast then please do so. It’s only about an hour long and it always contains great music. And then come out to one of NEXT’s shows. All of them are for charity! This one happened to be for the Traveling Guitar Foundation and helping them promote music education in our schools. That is something BNK Productions will always stand by!

Next month, NEXT is continuing it’s summer roll of incredible music with one of New York State’s best entertainers in StevenWright-Mark. Don’t miss this one either. Have a beer, or glass of wine. Listen to some fun music. Maybe dance a bit. And help out a great cause!
July 13th through the 18th ended up being a major work period for us. We had to pull off some major shows in New York. First we were up in Amsterdam, NY (as mentioned in an earlier post) working the Camp and Jam at Perthshire with two of the bands consisting of more than 7 members. To finish that period of work, we went back to our favorite brewery Captain Lawrence to work with upcoming country artist Jessica Lynn. Jessica and the other 7 musicians in her band appeared as part of the NEXT Music Charity Concert Series, a monthly occurrence at the brewery.
On the hottest day of the year Jessica had a full house to play for. We’re talking 105F degrees at 122F heat index! It was the perfect setting for misery to be honest, but Jessica changed that. What an excellent set! Jessica Lynn is ready to be the next big country gal. Her brand of pop country is more honest and moving than Carrie Underwood. Her band has some of our favorite musicians including the incredible talented master of fun Steven Wright-Mark who will be performing on his own show at the brewery this September. Being fans of all kinds of music, we enjoyed working with Jessica and her crew. They are intent on putting together a total performance and it shows well!

Regular NEXTers are familiar with his work as many of his autographed photos have been raffled off for the charities. We think his work is outstanding and are happy to feature it here:
Chris Bro’s next NEXT Charity Concert Series will be August 15th. It will feature one of our favorite bands The Matt O’Ree Band. The charity is also one that we find quite important.
