Just To Update

BNK Productions is still around in this age of the Covid-19. Yeah, the clubs are closed. Weddings and events are on hold. Live streaming is a local thing from the living room. We’re in a hiatus as such but looking towards the future. We look forward to making your vent powerful! Be Safe. Be Well.

Behind The Board – The Winery & The Summer Wind

This Sunday, April 7th,  we began our working relationship with Maxim Records in NY. Stefano and Liz put together a world-class event at an old church converted into a restaurant/wine bar/music venue known as the Winery At Saint George. With a surprisingly decent sized stage and really warm acoustics, this was a fantastic setting for Maxim Records to show off some of their talents, which included Claire Walsh, Grace Doty, and Sarina Santore. It was quite a setting for a rock concert. A battle of contrasts if you will.

The room was relatively easy to dial in for us. The only issue was the rear alcove. Setting the drums up there made an amazing sound chamber for a heavy hitting drummer. The warmth of the room really worked for the power singers like Sarina. Claire Walsh was absolutely fun. Hopefully Yorktown and the surrounding areas really support this great venue for years to come. The next event for Maxim will be June 30th. We will post details later on our calendar.

Behind The Board – Updates and December’s NEXT Charity Concert

The holiday season is in full swing. Parties, shopping and all the madness that goes with it. This is a very musical time as well with many different types of music events from school plays to Christmas concerts. It’s a fun time for production companies like ours between winter weddings, Christmas parties, and music shows.

At November’s NEXT Charity Concert Series at Captain Lawrence Brewery we worked with a really cool band. The Stationary Set out of New York City. The show went super well and was a lot of fun. Their music is very melodic and dramatic. There can be a lot of pieces to an orchestration by them, well placed to add to the effect. We highly recommend you check them out.

Chris Bro of NEXT posted a video of the sound check on YouTube after the show. It was a quick peek during the monitors check (so don’t expect super sound!). Gives ya a nice view of the settings at these  shows. Take a look:

This month’s NEXT Charity Concert is one of our favorite bands. Deadbeat Darling brings their surf/indie rock to the brewery! The last time we worked with Deadbeat Darling was last year (October 2011) in Pleasantville, NY when the series was at Paulie’s Bar. You can listen to some of that show at the NEXT Soundcloud page if you need a reminder  (link). We are extremely excited to get to produce these guys at Captain Lawrence. The sound is going to be big! If you dance then be prepared to move this night! The show is Thursday December 13th at 8 PM (Doors at 7 PM). You can buy your tickets in advance here.

Remember, Captain Lawrence is easy to find right off Exit 2 on I 287 in Elmsford, NY. The beers there are amazing and it’s proven to be a very good sounding event hall with plenty of room for dancing!

Behind The Board – A Little Late is Better Than Never

In fortunate and unfortunate ways, we have been too preoccupied with our work and storms that it took us a little bit of time to get a post up for you. But today we bring you the pics from the NEXT Charity Concert Series at Captain Lawrence Brewery Featuring a band that is quickly becoming one of our most favorite bands, The Modern Electric from Cleveland, OH.

What an excellent 2 sets of solid written music from their originals to a couple covers that they do in amazing ways. Including an incredible version of Smashing Pumpkins 1979.  If you listened to the Modern Electric Live EP on allthingsnext.com then you should be familiar with their 1970’s pop cinematic style (The highest number of plays out all the Live EPs from the concert series), but missing the show you also missed a bunch of new songs. Look out for these guys on a major label soon!

Photo’s are again by way of Focus In Digital our photography partner.
