Behind The Board – The Full Experience

Two weeks ago, at Captain Lawrence Brewery a most stunning moment took place. Well, maybe mesmerizing is a better word to describe what we watched. Or maybe it would be… If you were at this show, you know what we’re trying to say here. If you weren’t, what a shame for you!

The Matt O’Ree Band came back to the Tri-State Area and they destroyed Westchester County! Almost 2 straight hours of pure rock and roll bliss for the NEXT Music Charity Concert Series! We bring these guys up all the time and we just never get tired of how they can mesmerize a crowd. From the perspective behind the sound board, it’s amazing to watch people, meditating on sound, moving in odd motions as their body just takes off to the music. These guys are the best pure Rock and Roll touring band going on right now. If you haven’t seen them, you really need to. Especially those of you who call yourselves music fans. They count people like BB King as a fan! Since the days at the Rack N Roll Cafe, to the outdoor shows at JB’s Of Wilton, and then last year opening for Foreigner at Stamford Downtown’s Alive at Five, we have been watching these guys hypnotize crowds.

NEXT is all about great new music. If you haven’t heard the podcast then please do so. It’s only about an hour long and it always contains great music. And then come out to one of NEXT’s shows. All of them are for charity! This one happened to be for the Traveling Guitar Foundation and helping them promote music education in our schools. That is something BNK Productions will always stand by!

If you’d like to have The Matt O’Ree Band come up and impress your venue’s fans in the CT/NY/MA area, you can contact BNK from here and we’ll make arangements for you.

The night began with the beautiful and talented J Antonette singing a few songs. We hope to see her again real soon. Do go check out her website for more information about her. She was absolutely fun to work with, and she has an incredible voice.

DSB Photo, one of our award winning photographers, was on hand to catch the moment. We only use the best photographers for BNK Productions. Take a look these:

Next month, NEXT is continuing it’s summer roll of incredible music with one of  New York State’s best entertainers in StevenWright-Mark. Don’t miss this one either. Have a beer, or glass of wine. Listen to some fun music. Maybe dance a bit. And help out a great cause!

Behind The Board – Sometimes We Have To Say Good Bye(Originally Posted 05/09/2012)

During the summer of 2011 we got the chance to work with Cynthia Sandola at JB’s Of Wilton as they put on a biker bash to bring back the old Marcus Dairy days. For non-CT people, Marcus Dairy was a restaurant/dairy in Danbury, CT where bikers would gather through out the summer with bands and vendors. It was closed a few years ago and turned into Audi/Porsche of Danbury. Cynthia and the JB’s crew wanted to bring back that magic and hired BNK Productions to help them put on the musical side. Cynthia had an immediate and strong effect on us. She was beautiful and caring, with a child like excitement and a sweet laugh. We enjoyed working with her, sharing laughs all summer long. On the tenth anniversary of 9-11 we worked together to raise money for Tuesday’s Children. Preparing for this you could really see her caring nature. To meet her you would just feel in your heart that you just met a genuinely sweet person. Sadly, we received word last night that Cynthia had succumbed to her battle with cancer. Our hearts are heavy and broken today. We’ll truly miss you and your smile.  It was always fun to sit and talk with you after the shows and share laughs. To leave us so young is truly stunning. Thank you for those wondeful moments.

An Unexpected Pic of Nick with Cynthia Sandola

The last show we did with Cynthia included The Matt O’Ree Band and this song is very fitting.
